Dancehall artiste So Kool promote New Singles

The song is geared towards the female audience and boasts a catchy, instantly infectious hook that has garnered him a lot of attention.

So Kool is also revelling in the tremendous feedback of another single titled Thankful, which was released back in March. That track was inspired by his desire to show others what to be thankful for in the life, including the little things that push people towards bettering themselves.

The multi-talented artiste, who produces along with singing and deejaying, has been honing his craft for the past four years. While he is based overseas, he keeps true to his roots and stays close to the dancehall culture back in Jamaica.

“Being a dancehall artiste based in New York has a lot of challenges, as well as opportunities. This led to how I got started in the business; I was asked to do a backup line on a track, which the artiste liked so much that he asked me to do a full verse and adlibs. Things took off from there,” he said, of his career.

Surrounded and inspired by a host of sounds along with dancehall, the artiste has managed to craft a sound with an international sound, one that can connect to both the local and international scene. Over the course of his career, he has received quite a bit of local and international recognition, with spins on various radio stations as well as in night clubs.

“Since I have been doing music, the feedback has been good. A lot of motivation and words of encouragement come from my friends and also the fans I’ve gained over the years,” he said.
