KINGSTON, JAMAICA | AUGUST 23, 2013 | Coming on the heels of his newly signed management deal with British based recording imprint S-Lock Entertainment, resurgent Dancehall star Bramma ‘Di Gorilla’ is still in high spirits. This after brokering a deal that saw him collaborating with Japanese superstar Akane on a track titled ‘Whine For Me’.
Only days since its official release, the track produced by Di Kemys Records and distributed by 21st Hapilos is already saturating the local and international airwaves with a plethora of positive response from fans. ‘Whine For Me’ is Bramma’s fifth (5th) single since the start of Summer.
Akane is one of a few successful female Reggae/Dancehall Japanese singers. Over the past ten (10) years she has performed throughout the length and breadth of Japan perpetuating her own unique style. She released her first major debut solo album "Expression" and followed up with another album titled "Straighter,". Touring all over the Japan her first solo live show was a huge success which over that decade has now spawned to North America.
According to Bramma, “This is a good look! not only for me but also for the genre. The fans, especially internationally have been showing me a lot of love, much respect must also be given to all the jocks across the world that have been giving me support because as we all know DJs are an integral part of the success of any song.”
