by DHRW
(Jamaica)
Dancehall artist, Sheldon Taylor, more popularly known as Versatile is asking the public for their assitance after his car was stolen Monday night near Constant Spring Rd. in Kingston.
The vehicle was stolen while Versatile was at Uptown Mondays inside Savannah Plaza, in the Half-Way-Tree vicinity.. Versatile got to the venue at 2:15am partied with friends, when he felt a bad vibe and left suddenly before the party ended around 4 a.m. Upon arriving at the parking lot, he was left stunned after discovering that his car was missing.
In a statement, Versatile explained what happened. "I went back to the party and had them announce it. I linked up with my friends and then went to the police station to report it," he said. "My friends camera, my camera with videos on it, even a recent video shot for a song, a blackberry phone, my jacket I had on and other documents, that are very important to me."
The artist is pleading to the public to be on the look out or if they are aware of the car's whereabouts. It is a silver 2001 Honda Civic, license plate number 3350GD with Chrome and black rims. A reward is being offered to whomever comes forward with information that may lead to the discovery of the car. Persons are asked to call 1-876-859-1112 with any details that could lead to the location of this vehicle.
Even though he has met a series of unfortunate events these past few months, the artist is still positive and is working on music. Versatile says, "I just want my fans to know, this won't deter me or the music, I am a very positive youth. I have new songs; look for the songs and the video."
His Birthday Bash will go on as planned on the 28th of July.
