Dakrome Productions Ready for 2020


Dakrome Productions has collaborated with Dancehall artiste Shalanda, on two new tracks titled “Boom” and “Show-Off.”


Both high-energy dancehall singles were released in November 2019. Since their releases, the feedback for the tracks so far has been great, with heavy rotation on stations such as Zip 103FM, as well as traction on the label’s YouTube page.

Always one to produce quality music, Dakrome Productions producer Darren has over the years developed a signature style that works, if the success of his productions are anything to go by.

“I would describe my style as universal, in that I incorporate different genres of music, with the core always being Dancehall and Hip Hop. Often times I’d put in my music, sounds and even sight, that comes to my mind; it goes through my fingers and onto the keyboard,” the producer explained.

Established as one of the most sought after production companies currently in the industry, Dakrome Productions is responsible for an array of hits such as the riddims One More Day, Dakrome, Fyah Pin, Wise Up and Rocket. These highly popular projects boast all star appearances from artistes such as Vershon, I-Octane, Ding Dong, Shenseea, Tommy Lee and Masicka.

“These were just a few of the projects that hit the street hard and became street anthems. They set the precedents for Dakrome Productions. They also gave my production notoriety, in terms of being able to produce high-quality songs that can hit big, it’s just to stay consistent,” the producer expressed.

“Boom” and “Show-Off” are just the tip of the iceberg; much more is expected for 2020. Currently in the process of fine-tuning, there are new projects being worked on with other artistes,to include Shebba and Navino. There is also more to come with Shalanda as well.

“I want 2020 to be a more productive year with of course some hit songs from my production team,” the producer expressed. In addition, he has great expectations for the Dancehall industry. He added,

“I want Dancehall music to continue doing great things and the industry continue to grow. Big up to everyone involved in the music industry - artists, selectors, promoters, dancers and even the hustlers that ensure the vibe and the culture of the music industry continues.”
