Comedy Bar Special in line with St James SOE
September 23, 2019 Kingston Jamaica The current State Of Emergency in effect for the parish of St James won't affect the highly anticipated Johnny LIVE Comedy Bar Special staging for Montego Bay.
With the Senate approved SOE still in effect until November 1, 2019 on the west end of the island, the Johnny LIVE Comedy Bar special team is making it clear that this will not affect the staging of the live stand-up comedy show this weekend.
The special, which takes place on Sunday September 29 at the Montego Bay Community College auditorium; after the Kingston staging on the Saturday night at Hope Gardens, will feature London based award winning comedian White Yardie; who was born in St Elizabeth Jamaica.
The Johnny LIVE Comedy Bar Special will start at 7 pm and end at 11 pm in keeping with the parameters of the State of Emergency guidelines.
"We definitely are abiding by the laws governing the current SOE and with all proper security measures in place. We actually think it's vital to bring comedy to Mobay at this time because laughter is a great stress reliever," Chris Johnny Daley explained.
Laughter will definitely be in full force with performances from: Lemon, Dufton Shepherd, Bobby Smith and Kathy Grant alongside main headliner, White Yardie.
."White Yardie is a great comedian and this will be his first time ever performing on a big stage in Montego Bay. We take pride in fusing international and Jamaican comedians for our Comedy Bar specials to give our audience diversity, it’s definitely an all-star lineup for both events this weekend," Daley added
Previous Comedy Bar specials saw Shuler King, Alfred Kainga and Drew Thomas performing in Jamaica, this will be the second time that the Johnny LIVE Comedy Bar Special will be staged in Montego Bay and the fourth time in Kingston.
