Dancehall reggae recording artiste Christopher Martin starts his own record label "Cheeny Big Son Records".
In a released to the media Martin said "Cheeny Big Son Records will also be releasing tracks from D-Major, Ce'Cile', Ikaya, St Lucian singer Claudia, and himself on the rhythm. "I am very enthusiastic about it, I want to make it a comeback for Ghost." Ghost, a member of the Monster Shock Crew as they were called back in the 1990s, has been absent for sometime from the forefront of the entertainment scene."
"I love music and I like being involved in the creative process. I am also actively involved in the production of my own songs, so with this creation of my own label, I can now do it for others," he said.
This new label also represents an additional feather in the cap of the young singer who is also busy touring and recording. His song Paper Loving has been rapidly gaining traction here in Jamaica. The video is currently number one on CVM's Hit List and on RE TV's MVP charts. "It's just catching on here in Jamaica," he says, explaining that the song has already realised much success in Europe, Africa and the wider Caribbean.
"If you don't love me now, don't love me later men and women interpret it in their own way," Martin says. "They are words they would like to say in their own way," he says of the song and its meaning.
