CeCile make a change campaign
Jamaica's dancehall and reggae music sinjay CeCile has launched a campaign call "Make a Change" in Africa.
It is a new music and multimedia campaign designed to ‘assist, inspire and motivate African citizens and people of African descent’it is set to make its debut on the African continent soon.
The ‘Make a Change’ campaign, put together by multi-talented Jamaican dance hall singer, Ce’Cile, is to focus on improving health care, education, famine relief and providing development opportunities for African youths.
Activities lined up for the launch of the campaign include televised musical performances for the first time ever by select Jamaican artistes like Christopher Martin, Sherieta Lewis, Mavado, Gentleman, LUSH among other local artistes from Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa.
A new single, ‘Make a change’ featuring the above-mentioned Jamaican artistes, which according to organisers will be ‘released in digital form only, primarily through mobile phone downloads’ is also to be made available to the public as part of awareness for the show.
All proceeds from the campaign are to be donated to a variety of charitable causes.
The initiative which kicks off March 2012 in Kenya is the brain child of singer Ce’Cile Charlton who developed a passion for Kenya and its people after her first visit there in 2011.
