About IJah Iba
Before immigrating to Canada in the early 2000’s, IJah was raised in Westmoreland in Jamaica’s countryside. The young “Tati” (his former nickname) was pursuing his career as a professional footballer when he was scouted to try out for the 1998 World Cup.
His father, being a Rastaman, always encouraged IJah to keep in touch with his music, commenting how it helps to keep in touch with your inner self. Shortly after moving to Canada and immersing himself in his new surroundings in Montreal, IJah found himself drawn to the music culminating with him signing with the record label “DPC Movements” in August of 2008.
