Riquey Bingham aka Byngham makes his way on the entertainment scene with his hit single "Your Body Girl", produced by his own label Bingham Production.
“Your Body Girl” video was well received by Jamaicans and people all
over, as it was number 1 on CVM TV Hitlist for three weeks and
maintained good rotation on other TV networks locally and abroad.
The video was directed by Nordia Rose and was shot in Rose Hall Montego
Bay in March of 2010. The video was released in June 2010 and the song
was one of Jamaica’s summer groove songs, as it speaks volume. “Your
Body Girl” is currently available for digital download from major retail
stores online such as iTunes, AmazonMP3, Napster, just to name a few.
Riquey Bingham recently teamed up with Meddz from Meddz Music in New
York City to produce his second single "Come Back To Me" on the
Infatuation Riddim, which is a one drop, perfect for lovers. This song
brings out the best in the singer as he sings from his heart with a
melodious chorus. The single "Come Back To Me" is already getting good
rotation on local radio stations. It is also available for purchase on
iTunes and other digital stores online. A video for this song is already
in the organization process for 2011.
Bingham also recorded
another song entitled “Addicted” on the Ice Riddim for Digiplay Records,
which is doing well locally and internationally. The Riddim features
some of dancehall’s giants such as Munga, Mack Diamond, Charley Blacks
and others.
The talented singer/songwriter, Riquey
Bingham, birth name Ricardo Anthony Bingham was born in Maldon, St
James, Jamaica. He was raised in Lilliput District, Rose Hall, St. James
in a very close knit family and was greatly influenced by his mother
Cynthia Lowe. He attended Anchovy High School where he developed the
love for Reggae and Dancehall music.
In 2001, Riquey lead the
musical trio, MMJ (Money Making Jamaicans) to popularity and a fair
share of success. Recording at King Jammy’s Studio in Waterhouse, teamed
up with Ward 21 to create a hot beat for their hit single “Position”,
which was recorded at Mixing Lab Recording Studio and further edited at
Music Factor Studio, Kingston, Jamaica. Other artist such as New Kidz
from Gargamel Records and Ninja Kid were featured on the Riddim.
After MMJ dispersed, Riquey attended Montego Bay Community College in
2004 where he earned his Associate degree in Management Information
Systems.
He then migrated to the United States in August 2006
to further his education. He attained his Bachelor’s of Business
Administration in Computer Information Systems from Monroe College in
New Rochelle, New York in 2007. He graduated with honors and made the
President’s list for most outstanding academic achievement.
After graduating from College, Riquey decided to focus on music.
Equipped with lots of demos and an album entitled “Angel”, he focused on
his music career dream. He is currently working with super producers
and musicians, intending to make an impact on Reggae and Dancehall
music, as he is the future.
