Beres Hammond’s ‘Forever Giving Thanks Tour 2024’ stops in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey August 1st, 3rd & 4th, 2024

Fans of the King of Lovers Rock, Beres Hammond, will get an opportunity to be up close with the legend on August 1st, 3rd and 4th when he performs at a trio of concerts in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey, presented by Jammins Reggae Fest.

As the lovers’ rock maestro continues his highly successful ‘Forever Giving Thanks Tour 2024’, these three stops will have an added layer significance by being part of Jamaica's Emancipation and pre-Independence celebrations.

The first, not-to-be-missed concert, takes place on Thursday August 1st - the day celebrated in Jamaica as Emancipation Day - at College Street Music Hall, 238 College St, New Haven, Connecticut. There, Beres will be joined by one of his musical friends, singer, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Mikey Spice.

Then, on Saturday, August 3rd, Beres and his Harmony House band make their way to the Coney Island Amphitheater 3052 W 21st Street, Brooklyn, New York, for another spectacular performance.

On Sunday, August 4th, Dr Beres Hammond, who received the honorary credentials from The University of the West Indies last November, will write and deliver the musical prescription that has been the healing balm for fans throughout the decades. A full house is expected at the NJPAC, located at 1 Center St, Newark, New Jersey for this memorable musical feast. Doors open at 7 pm and tickets are on sale online at Eventbrite.com, Ticketmaster.com, and physical outlets.

"I have been looking forward to this tour for a long time and I know that the fans are ready to receive. I can't wait to connect with my loyal fans and I continue to give thanks to them for supporting me and being an important part of my musical journey from back then until now," the superstar reggae singer shared.

"Forever Giving Thanks” is a great name for this tour and kudos to whoever came up with the name. That is my name and nature. I don't have a song with that title yet ... but who knows when that can happen," Beres said.

"We are going to have a wonderful time at College Street Music Hall in Connecticut; the Coney Island Amphitheater in Brooklyn and the NJPAC, in Newark, New Jersey. Get your tickets and come and let's have fun and enjoy some great
music together," was the promise and the invitation from the "I Feel Good" singer.

George Crooks, the veteran New York-based concert promoter of Jammins Productions, is thrilled to be bringing the in-demand Beres Hammond to these three venues. Crooks' success as an event promoter is unmatched and that is due to his professionalism in dealing with entertainers, among whom he is known as a man of his word, and the sheer joy he gets from watching one of his concert productions come to life, from a humble thought to a perfectly executed finish.

Beres, who has been nominated twice in the Best Reggae Album category of the Grammy Awards for his albums “One Love, One Life” and “Music is Life”, has received many awards and accolades throughout his illustrious career which began in the 1970s.

In 2013, Beres was awarded the Order of Jamaica by the Jamaican government in recognition of his "exceptional and dedicated contribution to the Jamaican music industry" right before his album “One Love, One Life” was nominated for a Grammy Award in January 2014.

Known as the ‘Otis Redding of Reggae’, Beres Hammond’s extensive catalogue of hits has transcended into anthems. Among his hit songs are “She Loves Me Now”, “Tempted to Touch,” “What One Dance Can Do”, “Putting Up Resistance,” “Can You Play Some More”, “Rockaway,” “Sweet Lies”, and “No Disturb Sign”.

Musical genius, Mikey Spice, who plays all of 22 instruments, including the saxophone, trumpet, flute, harp, clarinet, piano, and guitar, started singing in his father’s church from as early as seven years old. Known for his exceptional baritone, the “Born Again” singer’s close to four decades in the music business has produced an enduring catalogue of hit songs, which he delivers masterfully on stage.
