ASANTE AMEN RETURNS TO JAMAICA!
After spending majority of 2014 overseas Asante Amen has returned to Jamaica and is ready to get down to business. Asante initially visited the UK in April 2014 to do a few shows, but it soon turned into a media & performance tour which saw the artist carrying both his music and message across the UK.
In addition he did a small tour of Italy in October 2014 alongside Italian Reggae and Dancehall artist Ras Tewelde and fast rising selector Mr. J Selecta; which he reports was a success.
Since Asante’s return to the Island on the 18th of February, he has already made appearances at the Martyrs Day Event Press launch, an event held on the 21st of February at Cable Hut Beach in Bullbay St. Andrew and Vinyl Thursdays, which was held at the Ranny Williams Centre.
On the 21st of February he performed alongside the legendary Luciano the Messenjah at Jamaica Tamboo in Negril, then from there the Soulful One headed to the Belmont Academy in Westmoreland on the 22nd of February for Irie FM’s Black History month Grand Finale celebrations, where he was also slated to perform. Asante will also be making appearances at the 47th anniversary celebration of the Twelve Tribes of Israel, to be held at their headquarters on Hope road in Kingston on the 25th and the lunch time concert series being held at the Ranny Williams Centre on the 27th.
In March he will hopefully be able to rest and recharge as he then has to be ready for the Blakkout Tour which will see him performing in St. Thomas on April 4th, Portland on April 11th, and Manchester on April 25th.
