First of all, I absolutely love many different black cultures. I have respect for african americans and black folks around the world. I see black skin as a thing of beauty, a blessing by God. It should not be poisoned with chemicals. Also as a white person, I find skin bleaching somewhat offensive as well. Hate if you want but it's also offensive to me when white people imitate black folks using makeup (I am not talking shoe polish -I realize the history of blackface is quite racist and would not compare that practice to skin bleaching). Why is it any less offensive for black people to imitate white people using chemicals?
