Aidonia wraps U.S. media campaign & ready for first concert in New York City
Back on local soil following an almost two weeks media blitz covering various urban outlets along the U.S. East Coast with stops in New Jersey and the New York Tri-State Area to ramp up support, Dancehall Superstar Aidonia continues to finalize preparation for his first concert this weekend on the North American continent in over six years.
Dubbed 'THE RETURN' the concert is slated to unfold on Saturday, July 23 at the world renowned Amazura Night Club in Queens, New York City and will see the Jamaican Dancehaller’s performance adapting a live band presentation with backing courtesy of Ruff Kutt Band. Adding to the package will be the allure of discounted tickets for the first five hundred patrons, presold tickets are also available at various outlets.
Speaking with members of the U.S. media at his launch held at Eludz Restaurant and Lounge in Brooklyn a seemingly pleased Aidonia said,
"Firstly I have to give thanks to the respective authorities for the reissuance of my visa__ with this in place we are now able to tap into new markets and connect to wider audiences, because as entertainers we know how important it is to stay connected to the fans not just through social media but also having a physical presence in those spaces, hence this current campaign… and it's a known fact that the U.S. is one of the biggest consumers of our genre of music."
Elaborating on his U.S. campaign the ‘Run Road’ singer added, "Come July 23 we are going to treat the fans inside Amazura Night Club to a musical feast because they have been waiting patiently for this day and it has finally arrived. So I’m encouraging everyone to go and get their tickets early to avoid the last minute rush."
Meanwhile, on the local scene Aidonia has been working assiduously in the studios and continues to ride high with the singles "No Man To Mi Spliff", "Hey Yo" and "Rude Bwoy Ting" the latter has been touted by Billboard selector Boom Boom during a recent airing of TVJ's Entertainment Report as one of the hottest songs for Summer 2016.
