Orisha Sound Releases Reggae Version for Single “Beautiful Sin” Cross-over Pop Artist Offers Scorching Lyrics Backed By Body-Shaking Beats.
Los Angeles, CA – Showing off her sultry, honey-coated vocals and magnetic allure; international artist Orisha Sound is releasing her latest single “Beautiful Sin-Reggae Version”, off her forthcoming album Cupid, due out July 9th. Coinciding with the release, RBC recording artist, Orisha Sound merged her pop vocals and adoration for reggae music to produce a remix version of her club-worthy single “Beautiful Sin”. In support of the new single, Orisha Sound will be releasing the correlating music video, which was shot in Los Angeles under the direction of Marvin Williams with Big M Entertainment.
Donning an immense dance club feel, the original version of “Beautiful Sin” was helmed by producers Andrew Lane (Keith Sweat, Alsou, Backstreet Boys), and Sam Salter (of LaFace Records) and tracked at Sound Solution Studio in Burbank, CA. On the reggae flip side, the same melody is slowed down for an easy-going, Caribbean-inspired vibe. Recorded at the legendary Tuff Gong Studio (founded by Bob Marley) in Kingston, Jamaica and produced by Shel K Recordz/Springwata Productions (Sizzla, Gyptian) the beat features sexy electric guitar licks and classic reggae drums. "I wanted to create a universal love song - timeless story of the garden, forbidden fruit, secrets and passion,” Orisha expressed.
Although the reggae remix exudes the feelings of the laid back Caribbean lifestyle; the same cannot be said about the experience of recording the single in Jamaica. While recording, the team was robbed at gunpoint with the producer leaving with bullet wounds. Ultimately he had a full recovery and the situation was humbling. Despite their trials and tribulations, Orisha Sound has
kept her headstrong attitude and continued with her team to create unforgettable tracks.
Orisha has traveled from country to country and coast coast, developing her artistry and building a dedicated fan following along the way. Making music a top priority since the age of four, Orisha has been working endlessly to become a world-class performer. A young, bright-eyed Orisha spent all her free time practicing the violin, piano and singing.
Her undeniable talent and obvious passion caught the eyes and hearts of everyone she met. At nine years old, she was a child-prodigy virtuoso, touring in Europe and the United States. Since then, she has had the rare opportunity of appearing on stage and in studio with world renowned artists such as Stevie Wonder, Stanley Clarke, Anthony Hamilton, Flo Rida, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Sizzla, Sly & Robbie, and many others.
Orisha’s worldly experiences have only fueled her musical fire and inspired her to express her emotions in more diverse ways. The singer attributes her sound to influences from different elements of electronic, dance, alternative, hip-hop and world music. “I don't stay in one place - I move a lot - enjoying the beat of the streets and the studios of LA, Moscow, Kingston, London, Paris, NY...It’s all about the people and their love, hate, sex, faith, fun and struggle,” Orisha explains.
Whether it’s style, attitude, wit, or sex appeal, Orisha Sound has it all down packed. Exuding her spicy personality, her music has the power to propel her to the top of any music chart, and her work ethic and talent tell it all.
